Director of Programming & Culture
Job Purpose:
The
Director of Programming & Culture is the key brand ambassador and public
relations leader for the property. Responsible for activating the property for
brand awareness, as well as programming the different venues through building
partnerships, events and collaborations and creating relationships across the
local and interntaional communites to become the #1 destination for such
partnerships. This role will work closely with the Marketing, Design, Events,
Music and Operations teams as well as the corporate office with a direct report
to the property’s General Manager. This position will ensure that the Vision,
Integrity and Consistency of the brand is maintained and highlighted through
every collaboration or event brought to life. Build a bridge between the corporate
team and Bangkok property to create amazing partnerships and moments in the
respective venues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Curate on-brand cultural programming and activations in relation to Art, Design, Fashion, Music & Entertainment, F&B, Film, Wellness, Sports & Fitness for hotel guests, local and international communities and be present at all key cultural activations/programming.
- Create at least one key cultural activation/programming every month. Ensure continuous partnerships and events to drive interest and traffic of a varied target audience for the brand and property.
- Supported by multiple F&B and Music programming - add input on the culture/creative ideas, extend partnerships outreach, bring in the right crowd and be the face of programming/activations when needed, and enhance F&B revenue.
- Responsible for ad-hoc events/activations when there're good partnerships opportunities with the right brands and collaborators.
- Monitor and manage the budget of cultural programming and activations effectively.
- Able to identify and bring the the right KOLs/influencers for each event/activation to create voice and awareness for the brand and property.
- Attend social networking events to build and establish a network of loyal and core guest list for the property.
- Work closely with all departments, Production, Ops, Music, Marketing, Corporate etc., to ensure successful execution of events, parties, activations and programming.
- Develop / lead/ and drive all activations to ensure guests experience satisfaction.
- Attend and lead weekly Culture Call.
- Maintain strong passion in Art, Design, Fashion, F&B, Music & Entertainment, Wellness.
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with all departments and outlets of the hotel.
- Understand, develop and maintain the identity of the Standard brand in programming efforts.
- Use keen discretion and confidentiality at all times while handling continually arising challenges.
- Drive database acquisition and grow number of VIPs through activations and programming efforts.
- Any other required tasks in relation to cultural programming and activations as assigned by General Manager and the leadership team of Standard Asia
